Meet Kody. I did a shoot of her sister Cyrus a couple years ago, and it was time to get some new shots with her. They are the two sweetest dogs ever.

Meet Brandon and Ro. When he wasn’t being silly to make her laugh, they were looking at each other with the most intense love I’ve ever witnessed.
They definitely have that something. I’m honored to capture it.
I couldn’t get enough of their shoes. I had to force myself to stop taking pictures of them.

That was me this past week for Dan and Stephanie’s E-session. I may have had a vision, but I had no plan. Dan and Stephanie met me in downtown Denver and wandered around with me. I actually prefer to wander during sessions – it keeps my vision fresh and allows all of my shoots to have a different look. Plus it adds great time to chat.
Dan and Stephanie met at the tissue lab where Dan still works. Stephanie works at a doggie day care – my kinda girl. They’ve been together about 4 years and still can’t keep their hands off eachother. I actually had to break up a few makeout sessions. But I didn’t mind – it was amazing how comfortable they felt in front of my camera. Now I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding in June. I can already tell it’s going to be one of the best of 2010. Stay tuned.

Man, I felt ambitious today. This is a shoot that happened about 6 hours ago. These were taken in downtown Monument.
Dray is my very first senior rep. Yep, first ever. He will actually be a senior next year, but he’s working with me to snag some more senior sessions and in the meantime get some goodies for himself. For every senior he sends my way that books me, he will get $20 towards anything he wants for his senior session. Prints, canvas wall art, coffee table books, etc. And the senior that comes my way gets 16 free wallets with their session. It’s a win-win on all sides. Rob and Jen tied the knot surrounded by an intimate group of friends and family at the Mount Vernon Country Club in Golden, Colorado. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and… well you get the point. It was gorgeous! Rob and Jen are some very cool peeps. This was my first time shooting with them since we didn’t have an engagement session, and we all had a great time.
I’ve never laughed so hard at a toast as I did when best man Omri got up there {got duct tape?}, or wiped away so many tears when Rob and Jen danced to “Then” {and I don’t even care for country music!}. I think it was her singing to him that did me in.

I’ve decided to jump into the realm of high schoolers {as in senior portraits}. So, I need your help. If you know any age high schooler {they don’t have to be a senior yet}, I’ve got a smokin’ deal for ya.
First, we start off with a {free} mini session. This includes a couple of outfit changes within about an hour long shoot. {This still includes the online gallery that comes with normal shoots, and some low res images to upload to MySpace and Facebook!}
They then become my Shikai Rep.
Next, the Rep gets some awesome senior rep cards to pass out to their friends. Every referred friend who books a session with me through these cards gets 16 free wallets, and the Rep gets a $20 credit that will apply towards any print order or their own senior session. It’s a win-win situation.

Man, what a gorgeous fall weekend we had a few days ago! I’ve been itching to get out shooting with all of the beautiful colors on display, and got just the chance to do that. Meet Andray and Kellye. They met one night cruising Powers… Kellye did exactly what her mother would tell her not to do : she pulled over to talk to him {a complete stranger}. Sparks flew and it’s been love ever since. Sometimes it pays to not listen to your parents.
And Kellye was afraid she was going to look goofey in all of the photos. What a knockout.
Somehow we managed to get a little lost at Garden of the Gods. Good thing Andray has a built in self Tom-Tom.
